• In the folded (compressed) state, the item resembles a disc (~32cm. diameter). To open into a "Jhoomar" or chandelier shape, with 3 steps, just hold the item vertical with the hanging loop at the top.The expanded size is around 32 cm. max. diameter and 60 cm. length.
• Hang the item by the cloth loop at the top, on to a suitable vertically or horizontally mounted hook, to leave the item hanging freely. If required, improve the straightness of the "Jhoomar" by pulling gently at the bottom.
• To use as an interior lamp shade or as an external festive lantern: Pass a wire of suitable length through the top hole, fix a bulb holder with bulb at one end and a socket plug at the other end. Hang the item & adjust the length of the wire inside such that, the bulb is around the centre of the largest step of the "Jhoomar"; connect the plug to a socket and switch on the "beauty"!
• To clean (once or twice a year only): Soak the folded item in soap water for 10-15 minutes, rinse gently and let it dry naturally.
• Being a hand made item, no two pieces can be identical and there will be some differences in detail, between the piece your receive and the pictures shown here. The main colours and the overall look & schema will however be the same.
